Problem Description:
High packet loss and increased latency to PAC.

Problem Effects:
Connection to PAC degraded, high packet loss makes the connecttion to be
effectively down.

Problem History:
20100225 08:25 JB - Opening ticket to track issue. Contacting circuit
provider.

20100225 10:22 GL Airspeed have done some investigation and found that one
of the optical interfaces on their radio experienced a number of state
changes, which led to a number of path recalculations. This is one of 2
ports and traffic has been configured to route through the other
non-affected port. 

However, the faulty port will have to be replaced. Contacting clients to
inquire about a possible date and time for Airspeed access.

20100225 11:38 GL NUIG and Airspeed are liaising to find a suitable time
for this maintenance to take place. This will have to be agreed with PAC
too. Awaiting reply and will contact PAC to see of they are happy with
proposed schedule.

20100225 12:15 GL Interface facing PAC's LAN flapped between 12:13:06 and
12:13:50. This is unlikely to be related to earlier issue but keeping
track. Left voicemail with PAC to investigate. Awaiting reply.

20100225 12:47 GL This was due to PAC accidentally knocking power off and
not related to this mornings issue.

20100301 09:51 GL Sought update via email asking for a schedule for when
this work would be done. Awaiting reply.

20100311 11:03 GL This work was completed successfully on March 5th.
Airspeed engineer went on site and replaced the faulty SFP. They tested
and
then cut over to that port and back with no issues or loss of connectivity
and they've seen no issues since. HEAnet has not seen any issues since
either, circuit is stable. Closing ticket
